What in the world is Cold Album Drumming?

Cold Album Drumming is a project where I play along to the albums I know intimately, but have never played drums to before. The drums are recorded in one take, with no warm-up, no listening, and no rehearsal ahead of time. In most cases, I haven't listened to the album in many years.

Why do this? Quite simply, it's fun. Fun to figure things out on the fly, fun to play along with some of my favorite music, fun to operate on pure recall, fun to have a musical outlet I can squeeze into my lunch break.

Who am I?

I'm Brad Frost; I'm a web designer, consultant, writer, speaker, musician, and artist based in Pittsburgh, PA. I've been playing music for 30 years and am primarily a bass player. My brother Ian has always been the drummer in our family, but after years of looking after his kit I learned how to play a bit better. Drums are more fun than bass as a solo instrument; it's a good workout!
